What is UPSEE?
UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) is an entrance exam for candidates seeking admission to the first year of B.Tech., B.Arch., B.Pharm., B.Des., B.Voc., BFAD, BHMCT, MBA, MCA, M.Tech., M. Arch., and M.Pharm Courses. Candidates can also pursue lateral entries for the second year of B.Tech., B.Pharm., and MCA. UPSEE has renamed as UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test) in 2021.
Meanwhile, as per JEE Main 2023 brochure, for the academic year 2023 Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, will now offer admission in all UPSEE participating colleges through JEE Main score. AKTU will not be conducting UPSEE (UPCET) from the next academic year for engineering admissions. However, students who have appeared and written the UPSEE till date will not be affected by this new decision. As per the official notice released by the varsity, the change will be applicable from the academic session 2022-23.

UPSEE Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates that wish to apply for UPSEE.
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates that have cleared their class 12 in any year are eligible to apply. Students who are appearing for their class 12 examination are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in their class 12 examination.
- Compulsory Subjects: Candidates have to clear their qualifying exam, viz., the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with the following subject combination:

UPSEE Application Form
The application form for all relevant courses is available on UPSEE’s official website: upsee.nic.in.
While filling up the application form, candidates are required to upload relevant documents. They have to ensure that the documents conform to the specifications set by the board.

UPSEE Selection Process
After the results are declared for the JEE Main Exam, students are allotted ranks on the basis of their merit. The candidates will then have to undergo counselling, where they will be allotted available seats in select colleges on the basis of their rank.
Candidates have to go through JEE Main syllabus thoroughly and plan their studies.
